Special Saving Deposit Account

A special-Saving deposit account is a non-interest-bearing account that is opened to fulfill the requests of those customers who, for one reason or another, do not want their deposits to accrue for them any interest. The characteristics of an SSDA are, in general, the following:

  • The account operation is similar to that of a savings account.
  • A minimum cash deposit of Birr 25.00(twenty-five) is required to open this account.

Eligible Entities

Physical or legal persons who is willing to open and use this account

Document Requirements

  • Two photograph
  • Valid identification card
  • Renewed trade license or renewed investment certificate, Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • Memorandum and Article of association attested registered and sealed by the documents authentication and Registration office.
