Export Services
All payments for valuable goods exported shall be made in foreign exchange or by the debit of a Non Resident Transferable Birr or Foreign Currency Account maintained with commercial banks.
Accordingly, Abay Bank issues export permits, other than for coffee and gold export which are approved by NBE, under the following modes of payments:
- Export under Letter of Credit,
- Export under Documentary Collections,
- Export under Advance Payment,
- Exports on Consignment Basis,
- Export for Small Items.
